Thread: I can't stay alive in Battlefield 3 Online

I tried playing BF3 online last night. I chose squad death match. I couldn't stay alive more than 20 seconds.

Two times in the game, I spwned and instantly died. No spawn protection at all. I appeared, was shot before my feet touched the ground (cause you kinda float down) and was dead. The other time I spawned on the ground laying down and a person immediately stabbed me in the back.

Further more, I can't stand the fact that people can shoot me from all over and I have no idea where they are coming from. It is so crazy and then I die so quickly.

Yeah the game does not have a great spawning system which makes it very frustrating many times. But it does depend on the map.

You can't play Battlefield like Call of Duty. It isn't a Rambo game. You have to spend a lot of time figuring out where the enemy is and keeping your location hidden so you can outwit them and take them down.

Aka the game requires strategy and thought. There are a lot of people playing who have gotten the best tactics down to an art and if you don't learn how to play correctly they'll stomp all over you.

Like OMAR said, you need to spend some research getting a good position. Once you do that, set up your spot with your squad, and you can get a high KD/R

HIDE! Find cover and figure out where you're getting shot at from, then return fire. You can't do much about spawn kills, that is something that annoys me about the series.

Was vert hard in the beginning

Just keep trying .. no one starts as a pro ..
