The 57th Parallel: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
So when I spent my own time, taking an hour and a half drive to the nearest GameStop, I found myself stopped in my goals of getting Assassin’s Creed: Revelations because Ubisoft thought it would be an AMAZING idea to push back the PC version of Revelations two weeks past when it was supposed to come out so I decided to spend some extra money on some kind of game. Hey let’s try Skyrim. I heard it got some good reviews for gameplay and vast story. They were all out so I got the only thing I could think of and that was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 revamped….Ohh I mean Modern Warfare 3.
So when I was faced with the story of Modern Warfare 3, I thought that, from the beginning, the story was going to be cliché and repetitive. It actually surprised me to see that…I was right. Yep Infinity Ward, you never listen. I don’t even remember the story. I honestly don’t. I don’t know if it was because someone slipped a date rape drug into my drink or I just didn’t care for it but the story was so much of a bore that my mind could not process the story at all. I know that people die, something about Vladimir Putin getting kidnapped and a kid getting killed on camera but that’s about it. Come to think of it. That drink did taste a bit odd.
So they still have special ops in there and some kind of new feature that is just a rip off of Treyarch’s zombies but here’s the kick. They’re alive people. Come on first you rip off infinite round survival game features from Treyarch and then you take the fun part out of it. The most enjoyment I had with the entire Call of Duty franchise was the Zombies gamemode in Black Ops and World at War. Don’t take that fun away from me!
Call of Duty has never really clicked when it came to competitive multiplayer. There is nothing more annoying than teammates not being teammates and caring more about the next killstreak well here, there is the pointstreak that gives you your streaks for the amount of points you get from universal stuff. Does it change it at all? No. Not really. It’s the same unbalanced and broken multiplayer I hate. I mean after the fifty or so Call of Duty’s made, you think there would be one that stands out and shows the true potential of this game. I think that drug is getting to my head now.
So if you are sexy, cynical and longing to punch the game industry for some time then getting this game will only reduce that fact. I’ve always wanted to love the Call of Duty series because it is popular but I think that’s its downfall for me is that it is so popular and gross income does not constitute quality in my opinion. Ohh what’s that CoD fanboys? You don’t like my opinion? Well eventually I will destroy the brainwashing machine that forces you to like their games. I will save you much like I saved gaming from the evils of squeakers. No? Well someday I will.

Well I do digress that my reviews are simply for pure fun, enjoyment though that is what I do think about the game. Were it any other game, you would be on my side so do not give me that crap saying, "You are an asshole because you went against -insert game here-" It makes you look bad and it makes me have something to laugh at. If you believe that Call of Duty MW3 is a good game then I am not trying to stop you but it is obvious that I don't like MW3 because it was poorly written and rushed like every other call of duty.

While I would consider this an anti-CoD rant more than a review, I still found it entertaining and any cynical opinions are entirely justified as CoD has never deserved it's throne on top of other shooters all this time and it doesn't now more than ever. MW3 is an absolute joke and is an 'un-game' populated by 'un-gamers'.

Well if you read my other reviews, you notice that this is my same attitude. Some of it is exaggeration for the sake of comedy but the principles within the line are true nonetheless. I want to give the feel of it being a rant mixed with reviewing. I mean I admit my reviews give off my cold, cynical bias but for reasons that should be obvious to another fellow games journalist.

Someone has to put the sheep in their place. The fact is that CoD may attract many people who aren't gamers and turn them into 'gamers' but they then spend all of their time on CoD which is hardly a game when they could be spending their time playing games that are much better.

Yea I mean to take his comment to the bottom of my heart because that is a fan I am losing XD I'M SORRY I COULDN'T SAY THAT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!
Lol I don't care that someone hates me. My true fans agree that a lot of the games out there, and call of duty MW3 is a great example, that are just complete shit.
