Default The 57th Parallel Analyzes: An idea to Advance Gaming.

Well I hope this works out. I have a problem in life. I am too eccentric and I made this as an idea. Hopefully it will spark some dedication in here.

So recently, I came up with an idea that I feel, if developed, would be like giving the Gaming Industry horse steroids. What I have noticed, and I am not saying this is bad but I have noticed that all PC operating systems are universal and can actually slow down performances of games. Most gaming rig production companies actually “trim the fat” off of Windows 7 and Windows Vista so it won’t slow down the frame rates. What if we had an operating system that was designed to function well and not slow down gaming rates? In fact, maybe we can even speed up the performance so the requirements are substantially lower.

Within the idea of this, there has to be a niche or something that separates us from the others and that would be an idea I have. I would think to name each and every one of the different versions as a new character much like the vocaloids in that series of lyric production program. Within the different characters, there are different styles and they all react to voice commands much like Siri in the new iPhones that came out just as recently. They all have different personas and can be shown on screen at any moment. Hard and idealist I know but not impossible and definitely something new.

Compatibility is a key factor. I mean why have an OS that can speed up your performance but not even play the games at all? So I thought that we should also try our best to make as much games as possible be compatible with the OS. I mean imagine the graphics of Battlefield 3 on a fifteen year old computer…ok maybe not that dramatic but having that last feel of speed brings me to my last want.

Speed. I want to see performance like no other. Have it to where there is a system requirement section for our own OS just because it is that different and that quick. I definitely think that we have the technology and we can get the skills to figure out this problem. I mean just imagine having an operating system that has speed to make even the most impatient gamer have less of a load time. Now imagine that with an i7 processor and a GeForce 590. Now that’s speed.

I think that we of GamersBin should show our potential because if we work at this, it just might be the thing that brings the Gaming industry higher and higher to the point of bringing better graphics past the photo realism we have now and the performance that all PC gamers want. Another thing. Console gamers, put aside your differences between you and PC gamers. The same goes for PC gamers themselves. I hope that this will be less of a dream now and more of our reality. Please join me in this, recruit if you can’t code. Petition if you can’t find anyone. This is an idea I don’t want settled down to nothingness because it could change everything we have ever known about technology. This won’t beat the past, this won’t race in the present but this will start a future.

That would be... AWESOME! But then again, isn't this what the PS3/xbox already is? The only difference is they make you buy the hardware. You'd also have to consider that the majority of flaws from PC Gaming come from the variation of hardware setups. This is why Xbox, PS3, iPhone and even the Mac work so well with relatively few bugs.

Well I know where you are getting at but think of the idea of not having to pay as much for the same kind of the performance because of the OS. My goal would be:

    Battlefield 3 Max settings
Computer can run it on windows 7: 40 fps
Same computer can run it on the Parx Series (unofficial name of the OS): 50-60 fps

each OS about the same price. I know where you get the idea of it being like a console but would you be glad to have a PC that can play like a console and is about the same price of a console. You would get a more broad internet access with the added fact of we could even add stuff to the OS to make it friendly to some semi-tech enthusiasts who don't like games or even game developers themselves. I think that if I was given a chance on this and had a team to work with and make this, it would be something worthwhile in the gaming industry for both PC and console gamers.

This is an idea you have there, Nano. A great one at that. I agree it would be nice to see this happen. Maybe you need to keep presenting your idea and it will happen.

How great it would be to play a game on your choice of OS for the same price. I like the idea of a more broad internet access. And anything you can do to make it more friendly to those who do not like the PC for gaming would be great.

Nano, I urge you to keep trying on this one. I find that there are way to many people that do not like gaming on the PC. Good luck to you.

Thanks. I would love to work with whoever would want to help. It would make my day to actually see this a reality. To see a story, a background, an emotion and honest affection for the OS would be something I would love to see from anyone using it. Please anyone who can help would be useful. Again, like I said, if you can't code or anything along those lines, recruit. Find others. Tell companies. Throw ideas around. It helps I and GamersBin alike.

Well best of luck to you. Hope you can get this to work for you. I am not really sure how I could help you out.

Well just find others. Find anyone that you know or someone they may know that knows enough code to tackle such a challenge. I mean I hope you have enough charisma to do such.

OMG, that is an awesome IDEA! You could make it from Linux, but I think it has already been tried too many times. You'd need to develop your own kernel from scratch.

I do liked the idea. But you definitely need money to make it happen.

But best of luck to you. Hope it will come to reality sometime.
